“A” as in “Always”!

Congratulations!

The Arizona Department of Education just released letter grades for schools based on last spring’s testing, and once again, your children earned Valley Academy the highest possible grade, “A.” Of course, we are not surprised by that, since in the 27-year history of Reid Traditional Schools, we’ve never received anything less!

We just wanted to take a moment to celebrate that your choice of Valley Academy was a good decision for your children’s future, especially in the post-pandemic education environment.

It was widely reported this fall that the majority of Arizona students failed statewide tests. We all know scores were low in 2021, the first year back in class after COVID, but in 2022, state scores only increased a meager 2-3%.

In contrast, our students’ scores have recovered from pandemic learning loss, while most schools in the state are still struggling. See below how Valley Academy surpasses both the state average and that of the nearest district elementary school.

The staff and I would like to thank you for your part in our students’ success.  They are learning because you care enough about their future to put in the extra effort, to make the school commute, to support their homework – all the things that show your kids that their education is worthy of being done right, with diligence and respect.

Maybe your friends and neighbors don’t understand why you place such a high value on school choice, thinking that “the school down the street” is just fine.  We hope you will use this information to encourage them to make the best choice for their kids as well.

We know that you have entrusted us with your children’s education, and we will continue to work with you to ensure that our students have the brightest future possible.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Brooks, Principal
Reid Traditional Schools’ Valley Academy
