National School Choice Week is January 26-30, 2015, celebrating effective educational options for all children. Valley Academy’s School Choice Assembly was held January 26th. It featured speeches about what school choice means to our students, staff, and parents. The morning was capped off with an exciting School Choice Dance performed by some of our very talented teachers.
In celebrating National School Choice Week, we hope to shine a positive spotlight on effective education options for all children. We define school choice in its broadest sense: empowering parents to select the best education environments for their children. These options include traditional public schools, public charter schools, magnet schools, private schools, online learning, and homeschooling.
Principal Victoria Wilber expressed her thanks to parents and her staff: “Knowing that parents have a choice, I would like to say thank you. Thank you for choosing Valley Academy as your school of choice. Reid Traditional Schools’ Valley Academy is an “A” rated school because of the support of the people in our community. Our educational staff works hard to provide the best possible traditional educational environment for your children. Along with our support staff, students, parents, and Board members, we all contribute in making our school a success. Every child deserves a quality education, and we are happy to be one of many successful schools in our community participating in National School Choice Week.”
